I am Yanninia Marie

A wandering artist exploring what it means to be human, raw, vulnerable, fragile and unfiltered.

Will you join me?

Me_57

As an artist, I am fascinated by humanity; our cruelty, our kindness, the people we love, and the things we cherish: what makes us who we are as individuals. Our minds are a complicated and intricate world of possibilities and capable of far more than we realize.

I struggle with darkness or depression, and though I know I am not alone in my struggle I seek to help others like me find ways of making it through to tomorrow. Many of my pieces explore the darkness, the sadness, and the confusion that comes form not knowing who you are. I hope to inspire people to find anwsers and to show them that nobody is perfect. There is no one way to fight, to live, to breathe. We are all unique, and I hope together we can find a way to flourish.

My goal is to create a space for those who struggle; not just with darkness, but with other mental health issues as well so we can come together to help each other find ways of making it through to tomorrow. We cannot do this alone, and I want this to be a safe space where artists like myself can share their stories and their unique perspectives on issues surrounding mental health. Together we can be an example that this is no one size that fits all, we are all beautifully imperfect beings and it is our uniqueness and our imperfections that make us beautiful and strong. It is time we reminded people that it is connection we crave.

Through connection we can develop understanding, communication that leads to collaboration not compromise. Life is not a race that needs to be won, but a journey that needs to be savored. We are not comportetors, we allies and friends.

I am a long way from my dream, but I hope you will join me on this journey. Come with me into tomorrow as I seek understand my own nature, and in doing so shed light on what it means to be human.

For those of who came here seeking to commission me as artist, thank you. For those who came her out of curiosity, thank you.

For those who wish to support me in my efforts, you can do so in one of four ways:

Thank you!
